Since 2003, CADRE drummers have represented Canada at the DCA World Championship competition. On Friday, September 3rd in Rochester New York, the CADRE Drum Ensemble won its fifth consecutive DCA Percussion Ensemble Championship – with a score of 93!
 My sincere thanks go to the eight drummers who made up this year’s championship ensemble: Warren Barnett, Vince Cicchine, Gary Gomez, Jim Kane, John MacDonald, Ken Miller, John Swartz (and myself, Paul Mosley). You showcased Canada’s talent on the international stage.
Thanks also to the larger pool of 16 rudimental drummers who played in the CADRE Drum Ensemble over the past five championship seasons.

Gary Gomez (snare drum): coordinates our Toronto-based ensemble. Each successive year, Gary brings a different assembly of snare drummers up to championship form. Gary was also an original, founding member of the CADRE Drum Ensemble.
John MacDonald (snare drum): manages our ongoing business operations.
Warren Barnett (bass drum): designed and built the 2010 bass drum instrumentation, assisted with bass arrangements as well as Finale© / Virtual Drumline© software programming.
John Flowers, Gerry Hemsley, Fred Johnson, Doug Kleinhans, Bill Stork and ‘Top Secret’: world-class composers who contributed to our 2010 rudimental drumming program.
