The
CADRE I&E Large Rudimental Ensemble and Rope Drum Quartet were
invited to play in exhibition at this yearÕs Agnew Ð Harrison Pipe
Band Snare Drum Individuals.
Many
of us had attended the ÒHarrisonÓ in previous years and weÕre huge
fans of pipe band drumming.
This
year, CADRE provided a rudimental interlude between competition drum
classes and before the results were announced.
ÒThe
HarrisonÓ was our first public performance of 2005.
We
were well received and Ð considering that some new members had just
learned the music Ð we did pretty well!
It
was terrific seeing so many great drummers and pipers compete.
The
overall competence and rudimental level was extremely high.
Our
congratulations go to the Brown brothers (Blair and Graham) who placed
1st & 2nd respectively in the Professional class. Our
sincere thanks go to Julie Stewart and John Terance for their kind
invitation and hospitality.
We
hope to see you all again next year!
