You’re now part of the only structure of communication and
camaraderie dedicated to the national community of Canadian
rudimental drummers.


OBJECTIVE

  1. Preserve, document, revitalize and pursue the technology of precision,
    rudimental and rhythmic drumming.

  2. Provide access to documented rudimental drumming material for the personal enjoyment and
    advancement of its membership.

  3. Showcase and preserve Canadian contributions to rudimental development and excellence.

  4. Establish and maintain relationships with international drum manufacturers, drumming organizations, high school and university percussion programs. Member dues cover the out-of-pocket expenses necessary to provide C.A.D.R.E. member-services i.e. photocopying, bulletins, long-distance, postage, materials required by individual drum club groups, etc. We maintain expenses at the lowest levels possible; however costs vs. dues are reviewed on an annual basis.

Associate Membership – supports C.A.D.R.E.’s national and international activities; grants access to music in the C.A.D.R.E. library; invitations to CADRE events and merchandise discounts. Annual dues $25.00 (CDN$). Please make cheque payable to CADRE and mail along with your completed Membership form to Fred Johnson - address shown on reverse.


    ð C.A.D.R.E. Affiliate Heritage Hands Drum Club – please indicates the Drum Club group(s) to which you want to direct your dues. The individual Drum Club groups determine their own dues:

    • Rope Drum Performance Group

    • Ancient and modern repertoires with fife accompaniment. Performance-oriented group.

    • High-tension Drum Performance Group

    • Classic rudimental drum repertoires. Performance-oriented group. You must provide
      your own instrument. Focus is on good levels of execution and dynamics.

    • Individual & Ensemble Competitive & Performance Group

    • Modern repertoire. Competition and performance-oriented group. You must provide your
      own instrument. Focus is on the highest levels of execution and dynamics.
